This little guy turned one a few weeks ago! 

That makes for a great opportunity to take some family pictures in the backyard. I enjoyed taking them so much! This family is just the sweetest.

His mom set up this cute setup for the cake smash. I loved how everything fit together with the background in their sun room. First of all, I’m a little jealous of  that room. It’s so perfect to hang out in these summer evenings. I can imagine having one and spending many office hours in there with my ice coffee, on a hammock. That would take editing to a new level! 🙂

Anyway, back to Caleb. He was one of those kids where I just had to be ready to shoot because he came up with way too many expressions on his own to need any coaxing! 🙂 Ahh I had fun going through the pictures later. I think I smiled the whole time while editing these. He dug into that cake up to his elbow! In the end, his dad let the dogs come and enjoy some cake, which made for some unique and fun photo opportunities yet.  

After “taking care” of the cake, he got to take a bubble bath yet. Needless to say he had a party in that tub. From swimming in there to splashing to his heart’s content. His sweet older sister decided to step in and join in on the fun, but I think she preferred not having that much attention on her. 🙂 

I loved every minute of this session.
