Meet the Photographer

Hey hey! Elizabeth, (my friends call me Lisa) the main shooter here.

I’m passionate about documenting moments and creating lifelong memories through every photo I take. I will never take for granted that you trust me with this, and I pour my heart and soul into your shoot.

I’ve been married to Dave, the love of my life, my “Mr. Steady”, the greatest supporter, and the occasional second shooter/assistant for seven years.

The Story

As long as I remember I loved taking pictures. My older sister will testify to that. I filled many a roll of film on her camera back in the day. She wasn’t too thrilled about it, but I thank her.
In 2009 my oldest brother loaned me money to buy my first DSLR camera, or “professional” camera as I called it.

I loved taking scenery pictures and had no plans to take pictures of people…ever, but then friends asked me to take their engagement photos and later their wedding photos. Then another friend asked, and the rest is history. Mistakes were made, but I fell in love with documenting memories. I took pictures of friends and family and anyone else who asked. In 2018 I officially launched EWP.

Because I always had major body insecurities,  I have learned tips and tricks along the way to pose and photograph in the most flattering way, and I love being able to show people how beautiful God made them.
There is also just something about capturing the love between a bride and groom, or the fresh squishy baby, any milestones in life, or the season your family is in…
I know that someday these pictures will be prized possessions, and that is why I will pour my heart and soul into every session.

This is Us

For the detail lovers like myself, get to know us!

Dave born and raised in Alberta, the introvert, loves the country and open roads.

Lisa born in Mexico, living on a small farm for the first part of life, raised in Ontario where I learned to love city life but would also spend every free minute at Lake Erie (a mere 2-minute walk from my home). Later moved to the prairies in Alberta, which has been home for some years now.

We met in 2015 and started dating in 2016.

Dave proposed to me in Banff on the gondola going up a 7,486-foot mountain. I’m normally afraid of heights, but that time I didn’t feel a thing going up!

We got married on the hottest day of 2017. Our wedding was a mix of rustic country and pretty lace. I always wanted to make sure we would both feel “at home” at our wedding, and I like all the pretty things, while my husband is much more comfortable in his boots and jeans. Thus, our wedding theme.

Fun Facts and Favorite Things

My photography is a mix of candid, fun, relaxed photos, and tastefully posed portraits. I have done this for years, and I promise you, I won’t make you look awkward and stiff. You’re more photogenic than you think! Let’s work together!
