Style
My newborn photography style is simple and baby-centered. I capture all the details of your precious bundle from baby’s cute puckered-up lips to baby’s tiny toes.
Newborn sessions are never rushed. Your baby leads the session. They might want to eat more often during the session. There’s plenty of room for breaks, and for baby to be soothed back into sleep. If you’ve ever had a photoshoot with me you’ll realize this is completely different from my usual, fast-paced style of shooting. I very patiently guide baby, or for lifestyle sessions, I let baby lead with me gently guiding where needed.
I’ve photographed newborns now for many years. I’ve photographed babies babies as young as 8 hours old. I’ve even had the honour of photographing a few births.
I have worked hard to master newborn safety, and I do not take lightly that you entrust me with your tiny humans.
I also realize it’s often not the easiest time for Mom to be out and about doing photos, so it is my goal for Mom to be able to relax as much as possible during this session.

- Newborn session recommended within 10-14 days of baby’s arrival.

Studio Newborn Mini

With newborn sessions being unpredictable, I cannot offer a typical 20 minute mini session for these, but with this newborn mini session you have the option to either do only a few family photos with only one pose of baby alone, or you can choose to do only newborn photos with no family photos.
A La Carte
-Add on a 8×8 story book style photo book to any of the above packages for $135.00. Regular price $180.00. This is a great way to share your photos with your baby as they grow up!

What to Expect
Once your session is booked, I will send you a questionnaire along with a complete guide on how to prepare.
Since we cannot plan an exact day for the newborn session until your baby is actually here, I mark down your due date and will wait to hear the news of your baby’s arrival. Yay! I highly recommend booking in advance as the newborn stage goes so fast, and I don’t always have openings on short notice.
Although I get that I am the last person you think of hours after your baby is born, I do recommend you let me know within a few days to ensure we can schedule your session within the recommended 10-14 days of baby’s arrival. At this stage they are still very sleepy, but if for some reason you cannot do it within this timeframe, rest assured that even a one month old will still usually fall asleep, giving you those sweet, squishy newborn photos.
