These two are married for one week!!
I can’t write about this day and not tell you about God’s faithfulness. The day before the wedding it was cold and windy and rainy. Nothing surprising for the area, but Nelly and Jonathan had planned an outdoor wedding, so everyone, I’m sure was praying a little more for good weather. The morning of the wedding it was still looking like rain, but it cleared up at the perfect time and it stayed that way until we were almost done with the last pictures. That’s when dark, heavy clouds started rolling in. So thankful! God likes to keep us on the edge, I think. 🙂 Another praise report I want to add is that I woke up this morning with a splitting headache. I didn’t know exactly how that was going to work, but I prayed and the headache went away exactly for the time needed and came back in all its force only when I was on my way home from the wedding. Yay!
On to the wedding… beautiful just doesn’t quite cut it. The whole day was just wrapped in a gentle peace. It’s always good to see that brides don’t let the small details take away the joy of the day. Nelly and Jonathan decided to do a first look before the wedding, which was a chance to have some time to just enjoy each other before all the guests arrived.Â

The outdoor wedding was so beautiful. Her wedding coordinator, Susie did an amazing job at keeping things flowing smoothly. Everything just went together so well. The colors were beautiful against the green of summer. Nelly’s dress was flowy and elegant. The way the skirt fell to the floor reminded me of a waterfall, in a beautiful way. 🙂 The decorations were perfect, and the ceremony…well, I may have teared up a few times. Weddings are just such a beautiful representation of love. I’m so honored to be able to capture the memories.Â
The reception was held indoors. It was decorated beautifully with lots of lights and, among other things, baby’s breath. (You can’t go wrong with that!) The food was delicious, speeches were genuine, and fun memories were recalled.Â
After the reception we went off to take pictures. The bridal party was fun and easy going (my favorite 🙂 ) and we finished off just before dark.Â
To the couple... I’m so happy for you, Nelly and Jonathan. May God bless your marriage!Â
